About Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College:
Established in 1951 by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, SGTB Khalsa College is amongst the oldest and most reputed institutes under the constituency of Delhi University. With great infrastructure and peerless teaching faculty, it promotes holistic development in an environment conducive of comprehensive and well rounded individual growth.
At present, the college offers 19 different academic courses pertaining to the fields of science, humanities and commerce, with a distinguished teaching staff of about 150 members. At the undergraduate level, the college has on its rolls, about 2,700 students from all over the country as well as abroad. SGTB Khalsa is ranked 5th as per NAAC Accreditation (2016) in University Of Delhi. The motto of the college is to serve humanity with humility and dedication. The placement cell at our college was kick-started in the academic year 2006-07, due to the initiative taken by the Principal along with a dynamic English(Hons)student, Dashmeet Kaur.Dashmeet, who was in fact adjudged the best all-rounder of the college that year, personally contacted companies and got them to college for recruitments. Initially, we had only 4 to 5 companies coming annually, most of which were BPO’s and KPO’s, whereas nowadays, we get a lot of inquiries from companies ranging from banks to consultancies, newspapers to TV channels, as well as pharmaceutical companies and NGO’s.
